sooo ive run into a little bit of a bump on the road,

the black head gasket above is from a z5, but the coolent holes dont line up with the b6T head, but the block bore and gasket is correct... however, the miata head gasket matches perfectly up with the coolent holes however the bore doesnt match with the z5 block..

which head gaske tdo i use?

I'd hate to guess on that one. I know some people stack gaskets to lower compression, but that's when they are all lined up and the same.

Is the z5 bigger at the top of the bore (chamfer) like older american iron blocks?

As long as all the smoke is from the tires and not white smoke. Can't wait for next update. Post some video

Your pace is kicking my butt. The mount bosses on a z5 and b6 block are different i take it? You cant do the mounts the way other 1.6 dohc swaps are done?

the b6 block is exactly the same as the z5 block, the only difference is that the water pump is in the way because of the timing belt setup being completley different, i have to take a look on how its done
