  • Trying to confirm something: MX3 B6 DOHC intake.

Hey guys, I was just trying to confirm this because I couldn't find it surfing the web. You can't put the MX3 DOHC intake on the Capri B6T because the MX3 has the injectors in the head while the Capri has them in the intake?

The mx-3 head/intake will bolt to the B6T block and the B6T exhaust manifold bolts to the B6D head... Hope that helps

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Okie dokie, so you have to do the whole head not just the intake manifold?

like you states the injectors are on the head with b6de motor, the b6t has the injectors in the intake manifold. now will the b6de intake bolt to the b6t? not sure but if it did you would have to make provisions for injectors. I my self plan on running a b6de fwd intake with a miata b6de head. hope this helps you. i have a stock b6d ill sell if you want to play with it.

You can't because of how the TB comes out right into the strut tower.

The B6DE head will bolt onto the block for sure.

its been done mannny times, all that needs to be done is you need to cut out a chunk of the intake manifold and weld it back together...

if you have a friend that can tig aluminum and a sawzall+hacksaw to cut a peice out, its 100% do-able. and im pretty sure it flows better than the mx3 one. and looks cool. cause thats worth 10hp.

also might add that the TPS for the miata is a 3 wire just like the festiva, so all plug and play to.. and the miata TB is WAYYY bigger then the stock festiva/b6T one.

Finding someone to tig weld is a PITA here. I got millions of people who can MIG.

i think the mx3 intake is equally as good as the miata one, they both have vics, and can be ported like they do to the EGT manifold
