On innovate Website there is a miatae pinout and although close there are slight variances when compared to the post from iceracerdude but furtunarely not enough to need two harnesses. Probabt under 10 changes to aspire harness.1993 GL 5 speed

Well ill get the blown B3 out first and then decide if its getting another B3 or the BP. Chances are B3 though. I really just need it driving asap.

I think the BP's in aspires are using an older 2 plug ecu which means they went thru and did a lot of hybrid splicing. Not a big deal if you have a festiva, bad for aspires because they are MAF and a 3 plug ecu. This new miata angle looks to be the most promising and most OEM style. You can do it either way. I love being thorough with both harnesses on my living room floor, knowing the car wont be running overnight...but i also have done things backwards with an engine with harness attached already in the bay and unraveling sensor wires and looking up color codes. You just do one at a time and as you find homes for each plug it comes together.
When you don't own a honda common sense comes into play because there is very little groundwork done for you pun intended.
The miata has a LOT of aftermarket so if you can score a miata ecu and wire it up as one then you could have a slight advantage in the long run.Last edited by getnpsi; 07-11-2011, 01:16 PM.1993 GL 5 speed

The aspire is 2 plugs at the ecu. You cant use the miata stuff. Their ignition variation is way different. Basicailly you use the aspire starting and charging system. Run the protege harness thru the firewall and literally splice like 7 wires at the ecu. Also you splice a wire to the fuel pump. You will end up using the protege vaf,ecu,distributor and all the sensors other than the temp sensor for the heat gauge. Its acually a very easy swap to do.hope this helps

Any pinouts or diagrams? I have an entire egt engine harness now. What about the large black plug next to the ECU plugs? Does that supply power like it does with the Capri swap?91GL BP/F3A with boost

Ill prolly hold on to the BP and harness. The car is getting stripped of its goodies, like the aspire swap parts, and the atx, and then getting scrapped. Its a rusted out turd, and I can get more scrapping it than what I paid for it and what its worth in a sale...91GL BP/F3A with boost
