After a search of the forum, I found no info as far as options for my newer b6 sohc. I'm building up my bottom end for boost, and would like to upgrade now while I'm building, instead of after it goes boom from to much pressure. Also any info as far as upgraded head gaskets and head bolts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Are the sohc internals different than the dohc? Most listings for b6 are actually b6D. Just shortened for ease, generally the sohc isn't modified in the eyes of most manufacturers.

Well I've already found out the hard way the difference between the 2 gens of sohc b6 bottom ends, so the less trial and error I can go through, the happier ill be.

so far as i recall, the B6D and B6-ME bottoms are the same, save for the water pump and (depending on intended use) oil jets for the pistons. granted the CR will also very between models, but the basic rotating assem is unchanged.

gotcha.... in that case, you'll want the longest stock rod available and then go with MC pistons with a low compression hight (i remember looking at several bike pistons that share the same bore size as the B6).

And the bp rods are the same dimensions as the b6 sohc?

longer... which means pistons with a shorter compression hight are needed (wanted)as i stated before. the rod journals are the same size between the B6 and BP blocks.

depends, if you get the B6t rods, yes, if you get mx-5 rods, then no.
