You should heat wrap the whole intake tube so the heat from the exhaust manifold doesnt cook the intake pipe and cause your cool air to be warm before it gets sucked into the engine. You would probably notice a diffrence by doing that too.

In the winter months I bet your mpg will drop. I made one for my 94 a few years ago but I made new piping and used a KN filter. Here's the guy I sold it to. If you want to flow some more air you could remove the screen in the maf.. but be careful doing so!

I wish my engine bay was that shiny =\ Actually I wish I had the option of waxing my car.. doesn't really do any good with only half the clearcoat and half rust showing.
