Thanks guys. This is what stuff looks like when your 17 and broke:p

My original plan was to make it 2.5" but I got lazy cause I work so much on festiva but I don't even get to enjoy it.

I read about this too since I already have a spare TB but again little motivation.

what exactly is the idea behind a cutout though? you mentioned that you can now spin the tires. Does that mean you have a cutout so you can spin the tires on the track to get them sticky? Is that what it is for? Or is it less air restriction , which in turn, gives you a little more power?

It's for less restriction and on a turbo car there is such thing as too little restriction. More power:p It's supposed to reduce spool time too, I just went out and now make 11psi at 2800rpms instead of 3000rpms. Could be because of the open element air filter I just installed too.

Looks like I have a new project. And I was just trying to find the volume of a festiva cabin.

Necro-bump! Cutouts are awesome though. By far the best bang for the buck HP mod. Depending on the car, they can be worth 20% HP over a stock muffled exhaust. Coming from the 3000GT world, electric cutouts were A-B-A dyno tested to 53whp gains on a "bpu" (basic performance upgrades... more or less meaning intake and boost controller) car.
