How come you want to switch to an aspire tranny? If you want to "upgrade" why not a beefier tranny?

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

It can be done yes , but wow that's a fun ride . If your racing the car the torque steer will be a problem . If its just a show go fast car then you will be fine with it and its a lot less work . Although you will need a heavy clutch to hold the b6t . The aspire trans is lower gear and is great for sport driving and mt terrain depending on your area ,I prefer it over the stock trans .
New build on the way .

Recently saw a post where i believe neanderpaul said there geared shorter and tend to brake more often, maybe someone else can chime in and give you some proven combo's but i dont think it will last long paired to a B6T anyways. you could stuff it in to get you by but eventually you'll have to upgrade, (unless you like changing transmissions and babying your car.) if charlie1717 does a couple 2-3-4 gear pulls in his BP car the clutch starts slipping pretty easily so id imagine that a B6T would probably explode the baby clutch of the E-series in no time.

1991 White L, BP/F5MR, protege header, full aspire swap with gr2's, seats, and sway bar, 15" konig's, short throw, escort console.
        1991 blue L, 5 speed.
        1988 red L-plus-all stock.

It will be under clutched...even at 110 hp! If you clutch up, then you'd have to worry about the tiny spider gears after that.

              Look around for a KIA Rio . 2001 2002 . That's a cheap easy trans upgrade .
On my first b6t car ,torque steer was the only problem . Like I said what are you going to do with the car ? If its just some sport driving and a race every once in awhile ,upgrade the clutch and you will be okay .
New build on the way .

With My bp I had my stock tranny with a stage two clutch, clutch never slipped but after a month (no launching) my tranny was starting to develop quite a few shavings in it.

You will need flywheel to the wheels from the Rio . Usually for the price of a upgrade clutch you can have all this stuff off a Rio .
