In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:
There's a fine line between breathtaking ingenuity and "That's the stupidest thing I've ever seen!"

The turbo version offers 1000HP . Suzuki is one of the sponsors. With a couple big name sponsors of our own, lots of spare time and personal wealth it might be possible to get one!! It does not have a transmission with it.
same question, why not a wrecked busa, turbo it if its not already and figure out how to handle the excess power in a front driver little car like ours? They are plug and play in sandrails already..
keep the old set up to pass emissions..

As far as using the Busa motor. Good luck getting ahold of one. Everyone wants them to build go carts, offload buggys, etc. It would be a good fun toy but I don't think the festiva would have enough weight to get traction even in 6th gear with a turbo motor.Last edited by Coffinator6; 01-02-2012, 08:06 PM.

Wow, that would really make a rocket, I wonder if it can be licensed in the US ?
It said that there was only 25 made but the site I googled might be outdated. Thanks
for bringing the Ariel Atom up it was new to me !!
Their was one at the last insurance auction, they get bought and parted out, like you said, there are several "Kart Kits" out there , even some on ebay. I would really like to build a sled with one but right now I have to get the festiva suspension ready to go in. A busa in a festy would probably be fine to maybe 300hp for race and DD but any more would get expensive quick and it would be a track only car ..Reflex paint by Langeman...Lifted...Tow Rig

Here is a perfect example of what you will have.

Oh and you would be better off buying a wrecked Busa and pulling everything off of it. I'm not sure about suzukis but on my 05 Honda 600rr. You couldn't just piece parts together. For example. It wouldn't run without the instrument cluster in. And the 1000rr has a chipped key. You can't swap clusters or it wouldn't start.

Yes on cars they have to "flash" manufacturer data in to make different components work. Some are one time only, they can't be reused. Thats what makes stand alone systems like megasquirt appealing. Cool video though!!Reflex paint by Langeman...Lifted...Tow Rig
