as the title says, would it be too much clutch or maybe break tranny's faster? ive heard there much rougher on parts than a traditional disk style. ill be picking up a cable F5MR from charlie to throw in my car and am trying to decide on a clutch. ive also installed all new front end parts, along with MOOG bushings. would possibly filling my mounts be a bad idea? ive seen many people filling there's so it must do something. thanks in advance for any suggestions!!! i can send someone a pic to post of what happened to my e series.

whatever clutch material you pick shouldn't matter (though sintered metal should be for race ONLY), what DOES matter is that you use a spring hub. the sprung hub will save your trans and should be considered mandatory for a street driven car.Trees aren't kind to me...
currently: 2 88Ls (Scrappy and Jersey), 88LX, 90L(Pepe), 91L, 91GL (Skippy) 93 GL Sport (the Mighty Favakk), 94 (Bruce) & 95 Aspire SEs, 97 Aspire (The Joker),
94 Justy 4WD, 87 Fiero GT, plus 2 parts cars. That's my fleet.

I actually remembered you saying that in another thread so I made sure to pick a sprung clutch. I hate to do it but for the price I just said screw it I'm gonna get the eBay XTD 6 puck.
Here it is:
And Ill only need an engine plate and starter correct? The trans comes with axles and the mounts. Oh and a little shifter extension.1992 white L, Bp, American racing 13's, stock trans.

Dude I used a 6 puck for over a year and beat the car daily and never had any issues with anything. Sold the engine and tranny to shadetree and I think he used it in another car. 6 pucks are awesome and thats exactly what ill be using in my up coming BP swap.Last edited by 91_festy_Gl; 01-05-2012, 06:02 AM.89L build thread http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=36422

I have that very same clutch in my car, its lasted through two b6t's and a whole year almost on my bpt. My only issue is at this point if you barely touch the clutch pedal under full throttle it'll rev to the moon. Its gotta have at least a good 30k hard miles on it though. Great bang for buck.91GL BP/F3A with boost

Also that clutch is for a g series not an f series.
For a stock bp I'd go with something a little more stockish. The one in enemy's old bp car is way to aggressive for a stock bp/e series.91GL BP/F3A with boost

I just typed in 1988 323 clutch and it said that clutch fit, that's the only reason I assumed it was for an f. I plan to eventually turbo this car so I don't think getting a nice clutch now is a bad idea!1992 white L, Bp, American racing 13's, stock trans.

I have heard it has more to do with how heavy of a pressure plate you use too. A lot of guys have said that the XTD's seem to come with a stock pressure plate, if you upgrade to one that is stiffer they tend to hold more power.89 Festiva L Carby 4 Speed... RIP.
