    I found the right one. picked up the trans, axles and mounts made by shadetree, then got me and Dennis a flywheel from an automotive salvage place. Still can't find the engine plate I need!!! Anybody got one they'll come off of?

            Pressure= force/area

            So with the pucks there is less area but more pressure.

            Also the pucks are usually ceramic and engagement is quicker from my experience.

                  The axle stub was left in the trans to keep the gears from dropping (the other end won't even fit close to tight ). It needs the clip removed from the cup then install shaft then install clip and zip tie the boot .. They looked new when I bought them and I never used them . Letting you know !!!

                      I was just talking about clutches for Pinky and I read this, good reading here.

                      I acquired a ACT 6 puck disc UNsprung with a stock pressure plate, if I ever want to keep my diff or spider gears in one piece (when i run slicks at the traxck) I think I'd better get a sprung clutch.

                      I've always like spec clutches and ACT but always dreaded the price. I might check out that XTD clutch

                              I use an 8 puck on my b6t and the only thing is that it engages quicker than a stock clutch. I've been beating on it and have yet to slip it and it was only $180. Got it from KY clutch, a lot of people on club protege recommend them.

                              Idk about stage 3 XTD clutches but the stage 2 is weak.
