Okay so Im eyeballing a set of Celica COPs on ebay... I might nab them if the price stays low.
What do I need as far as crank or cam sensor?
Also I think Im gonna go with a non-pnp megasquirt, with a diy harness. That way I can use it on things other than the festy, if it ever comes to that. Should also help keep things neat.91GL BP/F3A with boost

if you want to do it right the first time id recommend using ev14 injectors. as im finding out now ev1(stock style injectors) are very laggy and inconsistent causing all sorts of crappy idle and low rpm drivability conditions. my 680cc denso's only operate at 10-15% lower duty cycle as my rx7 460cc's to achieve the same afr's due to multipule spray "jets" instead of one big smooth cone pattern. my frined that has been boosting miatas for a while actually yelled at me for getting them.
im getting the 1000cc ev14s :
the 1000's seem big but with the ev14's incredibly fast cycling time and excellent spray pattern you can run them at much lower duty cycles without issue. hope this helps... much cheaper to buy quality big injectors now than to have to spend more later to get another set when you want more power later.
edit:
join miataturbo.net if you have not already and troll all of their megasquirt write ups and builds. also make an introduction thread telling about your car and your plans for it with a little back ground on yourself. if you dont make an intro thread or if you ask questions without searching they will be brutal and offer no assistance.Last edited by fastivaB6TG25MR; 01-22-2012, 02:44 PM.I know its a piece of crap but im still faster...and its 100% legal!!!!!

i think i paid 50$ for my 550cc rx7 injectors. however, those 1000cc's arent a bad price, ill have to probably end up saving that site and ordering some up when taxes come in1992 Festiva... BP-T, Escort G5MR, no crossmember, aspire brakes, Megasquirt, Toyota COP's, coilovers and 6 puck SPEC clutch!

you can either upgrade the MS unit to have a coil driver built-in or you can use an external ignitor that MS can operate to give the coils the voltage they need. DSM and VW ignitors are commonly used and cheap to get if you dont run COP's with them already built-in.1992 Festiva...
