I have a MSPNP on my miata and i love it.
The stratified one does not come with a base tune and you have to add jumpers inside the ms to adapt it to the harness.

That is not the same unit. The one I linked to is a MS II based unit. The one you linked is a MS I based unit, but the price probably about the same.

Wow! DIY's prices have really gone up in the last couple years. They are bordering AEM territory now. lol. Still worth the money IMHO. Those festiva owners who can't afford this can still benefit by being able to purchase the units second hand in a few years and/or buying cars that people have dumped a bunch of money into and can't keep the project. So it's good for all of us (except the carby crew, and my 89 auto may not plug n play, lol).

ok so let me get this straight.

The only difference between stratified auto's units and mspnp for the festiva is you have to add some jumpers and add a base tune? (which stratified auto is already wiling to provide and upload)

and mspnp for the festiva is 700$!!!!!!!!!!!! thats redic!!!!!!!!!

Your most likely paying extra for DYI's well known customer support which has almost single handedly given megasquirt it's good reputation. They have helped a few of my friends who didn't even purchase their parts from DIY! I've never heard a complaint fromtheir customers that seemed fair or legitimate. It is expensive in comparison to other companies but your paying for the future assistance that you may need. They have been doing this longer, with better results than the other PNP companies. No different than any typical market.

I can totally agree to DIY's customer service, my MS went to Singapore (USPS's fault) and DIY gave me 10% off my next purchase and a free T-shirt for the hassle

                      1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
                      1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

^ This. I might buy it from stratified but I have heard way more about DIY and their reputation/ customer service and that may be worth the extra couple hundered dollars.

My reason for going Lex (stratfield)...I thought he might have more experience with the bp. Also he sent it with 3 tunes. 1 for 230cc. 1 for 440cc and 1 for 550cc injectors. I can share that tune if anyone needs. My mustang is also megasquirt. So easy
