    On a BP, the block adapter would thread over the existing cooler adapter. The cooler adapters are thermostatically controlled, in that the oil doesn't circulate thru the cooler until it's hot. Oil always flow thru the filter, unless it clogged, or the relate passages are clogged.

    A BP would require 4 lines down to the filter location.

    I'll post a pic of the extra stuff you'd get if you ordered this kit.

    The filter bracket comes with a clip. The filter can be disconnected and dropped into a pan, before one cracks it loose. That seemed cheesy to me, but I'll have to look at it some more.

      Seems like a failure point... It would suck to end up dragging your filter down the road, unless it's a fairly substantial setup.

        Here's the clip and bracket. The clip is strong enough, but it only attaches with one machine screw.

        Here's the stuff left over for the R&D department @ Big Electric Cat Enterprises.

          ....you'll see project KiMaFo Thunder right of center, next to Project Holley/Weber. They're officially 'on the floor', not 'the shelf'.

            ...organizational skills.

            That looks like a fairly all-inclusive kit for $20. Nice buy!

              Haven't heard of these before until now, sounds great. Sometimes changing the oil and filter can be a freaking pain, luckily my filter is in a pretty easy spot, but of course sitting vertical, not too much spillage though.

                I can get rid of most of the spill by parking the car on a slight angle or lifting up the side so the filter faces down, then punching a hole in the old filter canister at the edge. This also helps for really tight filters (damn quick lube places) cuz you can stick a screwdriver in it and get a little leverage on it.

                    These came last week;

                    Very happy with the quality, though I will dremel out the oil channels a little in the adaptors, just to smooth off the very abrubt cast edges. That aside im very pleased with it all!

                        yeah mate the blue adaptor with 4x outlets lets me hook up oil temp and psi gauges without having to tap/drill anything.
                        at the end of the day its potentially more places for oil to leak but if set up and sealed correctly this lot was a bargain and is good insurance against cooking a "spiritedly driven" engine.
