I am wanting to do a grassroots SHOgun. I am new to the whole engine swap thing. I just want to know right now what is a good parts list i need to get to have everything for the swap.

It's not really a swap per say. It's an involved conversion. What you're asking is "What do I need to build a MR pocket rocket out of a Festiva?"

^^ What these guys have said, it's so far beyond a "swap" you have to more or less build from scratch the entire rear suspension for the car
That said I think a GRM challenge SHOGUN would be super sick, but also a challenge to keep within the budget

If budget was an issue, I would find a Taurus with the 3.0L DOHC V6 Duratec. Much more available and you still get 200hp. A V6 Probe or MX6 may be good as well.Brian
