I have a custom intake manifold for my B1 with bike carb receivers, but I don't have a carb yet. I don't know if I should get Keihin 38mm downdrafts or 40mm Mikuni sidedraft carbs because I don't know which would fit in the tiny space at the back. I know some of you have done this. So I would like to know if you installed side or down draft carbs? Do they have advantages?

That's cool. How did you do the throttle linkage?
NVM... I've read it. Cool carbs.Last edited by forpinks; 11-21-2012, 04:01 PM.'98 Kia Pride CD-5 B1 5MT (Daily Driver in Philippines)

You could just use the stock throttle cable sleeve and replace the stock wire cable with a longer cable then swage some new ends on it. Ball on the pedal end + cylinder stop on throttle end. It's just the length that's important.
I just used the stock 89 Festiva throttle bracket on a piece of aluminum that I bought at Metal Supermarket. Really simple, since it's just a single pull.Last edited by bravekozak; 11-21-2012, 06:46 PM.
