I did the Aspire swap a few years ago and mistakenly used Aspire LCAs initially. Severely threw out the castor/camber and my Festy axles even popped loose in very short order. For toe-in/toe-out the Aspire tie-rods also had to be spun out on the steering rack roughly 3/8 inch further on each side. Needless to say I switched back to Festy LCAs in a hurry and everything has been fine since. Festy tie-rods look to be the same as Aspire but they aren't so make sure to use Aspire ones on Aspire hubs.
Now I suppose you could gain more track width if you went with an Aspire steering rack (or maybe Aspire inner tie rods are longer in which case no need to swap racks) and Aspire LCAs, and the slightly longer Aspire axles, but then there will be the problem of how to mount/modify the struts in such a way that the wheels stay straight up and down. I don't think anything is insurmountable but all you're going to gain is 3/4 inch and a lot more work.

Powerstiva, what's the answer to your question?

for doing the aspire brake swap, you only need the aspire OR Escort GT outer tierods (not the LCAs). the only reson you need those is because the taper in the aspire steering arm is different than the festiva's.

now for some more confusion... if you do a Capri swap, you have to use the aspire LCAs and the festy tierods....

Got all the stuff... Going to order axles and a clutch kit next week... Axle seals too... Should take about a week to come in... Also, found a cargo cover thing... It's a little banged up... As in not really usable right now... Any recommendations on getting it fixed? Or a place to order a new one?!!

Just curious about this, I'm doing a capri swap into a festiva, so I'm under the impression that the capri axles would be better to use, but my concern is "are they too long?" or "will it be better to use a combination of festiva / capri axles?"

Also forgot to ask, if using the capri axles, do i also need the lca's as well or will the festiva ones be fine?
