I forget, what do stock rods weigh? and what do other performance rods weigh? any plans to make aluminum rods? I know they don't handle the HP levels that steel can, but for N/A builds or a mild turbo setup, I think that would be awesome...

these are now on my list of parts for my engine build...

Stock rods weigh 547g, MANLEY rods weigh 533g but come standard with ARP 8740 cap screws with ARP2000 as an expensive upgrade, mine use ARP2000 standard. I actully have aluminium rods too,the misconseption is their weaker than steel, this is false! In most applications aluminum has a distinced advantage. I use areo space grade billet plate aluminum which is what my B3 rod will be made of. The reason is steel blanks are not available in 5.3605 center/center, i can get them made with min. order of 40 blanks. I have aluminum blanks with the correct center/center and can make 4 at time.I sent 1 rod out for stess testing, we simulated 125,000 mile with only .0018 rod stetch! thats equal to a steel rod.

I haven't tangled with connecting rods for quite some time but I do suspect they are always able to come apart. I see no visible joint at the main bearings at all on your rods! Is this some sort of proprietary process where perfect fit, or mating of surfaces, entails directionally breaking a single piece casting? They look real sharp Matt and I hope they provide folks with good service and performance.
