In the works: Dickmeyer Automotive header, FPR, Stage 3 head, and ported intake. Pictures as things progress. For now, any recommendations on what to use to clean all my oily dirty greasy parts?

One more thing about Power Dissolver. Always shake well before use, there's an ingredient in it that tends to congeal in the bottom of the bottle when it sits for a while. Spray it on and let it soak for 20-30 minutes. You'll notice after a while that it will form a bit of a "skin" on top. At that point shrub it around with a brush and then rinse clean. Usually takes no more than 2 treatments...and that's for really stubborn grease. If it requires a second treament, let everything dry well before the second application. This will keep any residual water from diluting the second pass.

Another tip: The bottles of PD are kinda small and the sprayer tends to really lay it on. I've found I can make a bottle go further if I shake it up well, pour some in a small container, and then paint it on with a paintbrush. Basically applying it like paint stripper. PD acts in much the same as way aircraft stripper except it only strips dirt, oil, and grease.

Stock up! You're going to love this stuff

WalMart used to stock it but my local store stopped carrying it, yours may still have it. Luckily my local grocery store just started stocking it. Try this link to find a local retailer near you that has it.

Also, if you can't find PD, Dawn make a grill cleaner that is the same product just in a slightly different bottle. Lowes Home Improvement has it.

I can't find the Dawn PD around here anymore. I'll have to check out the grill cleaner. I've also found that Simple Green does an excellent job on dirty and mildly greasy stuff....but don't use it straight out of the bottle. It has to be diluted with water in order to work properly.

I just used your everyday name brand engine cleaner in a spray can. let it sit for about 10 miins or so an hit it with a pressure washer. ( I rented mine for 3 hrs and it only cost me $27)

I like Purple Power too. I got a gallon jug and a chemical sprayer. Mix 2:1 PP:Water. It stripped my engine down till the aluminum had that "dry" look. Amazed me.
Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.
