I'm going to run it through a dash switch so I can turn it off in the summer... may save a few ounces of fuel.
You don't want to turn it off; it will then run choked when warm. The 12V source gradually opens the choke as the motor is warming up, then keeps it open via its constant voltage. When you shut the car off and it cools down over a period of a couple of hours, the choke spring also cools down so it will be closed when you start it up again. Just hook it to a 12V source (when running) and forget about it.
