Ok, cool, just was a bit concerned you were going to get in over your head on it. Seriously though, as far as go fast on an 88 carb model... not having a lot of heavy stuff in the back, and getting it in good tune is about the best you can do. I also own an 88lx and am contemplating taking a EFI b6 from a 323 and swapping the intakes and possibly going electric fuel pump if there is no mech fuel pump provisions on the EFI engine.Oldest Festiva on the forum (so far) 3/87 LX - 225k

You need a high pressure pump for EFI in order to have enough pressure to atomize the spray. Fuel injection won't work with a mechanical pump.Last edited by bravekozak; 11-28-2013, 06:53 PM.

i made sure it was smooth... but no need to polish, theres enough oil flying around in there to keep it lubed and the pump doesn't take alot of power to run so the pressure on the arm is rather low.Trees aren't kind to me...
