Slippery slope. If you can refab a floorpan and exhaust you can probably do a rear engined car. Rear turbo rear engined car yes yes yes

Either way, you're gonna have to modify something. There's nothing intake wise you'll find except for the stock intake of the festiva and aspire.
Good luck pal.

That is the crazy attitude here if you're not on the side of the road trying to get home you should be engine swapping. And if you choose not to engine swap its because youre trying to turbo car to beat people who took the easy way out and did the engine swapLast edited by getnpsi; 12-05-2013, 01:22 AM.1993 GL 5 speed

I still don't get why RT. If you want a turbo out of the way and close to the ground, for whatever reason, replace the bend in the downpipe with the turbo. No secondary oil system, no LONG intake pipe, and you still get out of messing with the manifold. I know, I know, the fastest Festiva in the world is RT. Is that because it's RT? No.
Just my opinion.Last edited by sketchman; 12-05-2013, 10:53 AM.Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

Really? I thought it was getting pressurized oil from the feed? Thought it would be fine on its own.Last edited by sketchman; 12-05-2013, 11:11 AM.Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

It does go against all commonplace, known, and proven methods. But it works, and it seems like I had to set some records before people stopped doubting that it actually works.
I know it let's me get away with more boost and timing, than if it were front mounted, and heat soak isn't as much if an issue.-Greg

^Well if it works, and it's what you want to do, that's all that matters. I've gone all around idea-wise trying to decide exactly what I want to do with mine, but RT was never something I considered. I'm definitely thinking about the turbo in the bottom of the engine bay, though.Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

I did it to keep my AC stuff happy, I thought it would work, but didn't think it would work as well as it does. Still surprises me.-Greg

I'm guessing here, but a 2nd pump would probably be ldeal.. Perhaps a one way check valve in the return direction.. So that oil won't run back down the pipe.
