Very much so! My car would wheel hop when launching before, now it's rock solid. And it keeps the tranny from flexing as much in my opinion. I've looked my car over for broken welds etc, with nothing.

I have 22, 7k+ 20 lbs of boost launches on this Trans and driving it daily

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

As solid as you usually build stuff. I made all my mounts solid, except passenger side, and it made everything seem more stable under load

Solid for the win. I have front and rear factory mounts on my B6T/E-series and it eliminated all of my wheel hop.

My mounts are made from nylon, no movement but doesn't vibrate the hell out of the car either lol

PAR G Series Transmission Mods in Australia

I know the G-Series can be modified for basically whatever you want. There is someone in Quebec who was building a plate mod for the case to keep the 3rd gear from stripping out and he was looking to push about 900whp through it. A while ago I was thinking of building a fully built BPT and contacted this company in Australia that builds G-series trans (hopefully they still can). Here is part of what he told me in an email:

"Our dog engagement gearsets have been used in Puerto Rico and other South American drag vehicles with just over 700hp successfully. These have been with the billet reinforcement cups fitted. We recommend and push customers who are running more than 350~400hp to use the billet cups as insurance to protect the gearset in the event of a case breakage.
I think the Festiva project will be great with our gearset fitted as the vehicle and weight will allow even more horsepower to be applied as you've mentioned in your email."

The company is called PAR Precision | Automation | Robotics
Established in 2002 and wholly Australian owned, PAR provides 3 main areas of Engineering Services. All these Services are accepted from concept through to complete fulfilment whether it is an Automated Solution, Drive Train Transmission Gear Set or a specialised process such as Electron Beam Welding accommodating clients in many manufacturing & service industry sectors.

Edit: Here is the link to the thread from the Quebec guy http://www.feoa.net/threads/transmis...ate-mod.67618/

yep. 2 g's per gear set. They are supposedly very noisy too. I'd imagine for 6 large I could source and custom fit another tranny that can hold up to 600+ horse power in stock trim.

^^yup if it was me and I had that kinda money to throw at a new setup, it'd be a Toyota E153 (since the adapter plate exists already for the BP/B6T) and custom axles

Although I'm not sure where the limits are with those tranny's but it's higher then our G series

I wonder what this will increase power handling estimates too? Seriously!! I am halfway interested if they are as good as the say they are. Would be nice to plug and play.

Do you guys have any idea how strong the Empi axles are? I have a brand new set. They are very beefy indeed.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but my vote is for a sequential gearbox. Quaife and Elite are some brand names that come to mind although there may be others that are viable. Up and down shifts will always be faster than "H" type shifting boxes.
I know how to use the search function, I just don't always choose to use it. New modifications, solutions, and information are discovered every day and I want to know what the current concensus is for whatever topic I have in mind. Thank you for understanding this!

What application did you have in mind for this gearbox?
Drag? Circuit? Rally? Dd? Claim to fame?

I think in most cases the g series will suffice. At least til you get to a point where you could be a semi-pro competitor. By then you should have sponsors which will soften the blow of the cost of a sequential box or similar.
