can you use a 1994 aspire engine in a 90-93 Festiva? gonna build a 40 over aspire engine for my Festiva or get another festiva or aspire for the swap

I just put a 94 aspire engine into a 91 festiva the air intake mounts diff to the aspire head and tps and iac have different connectors and thermostat is tad different 91 festiva has extra sensor. i tryed to swap over everything over from 91 festiva to aspire engine 90% of stuff swaps 91 festiva doesnt have egr were 94 aspire engine does not so i just bypassed it and aspire has 3 vacuum solenoids were 91 festiva only has 1 but they are able to be used on either engine I also had to swap rad lines and divert/remove some vacuum linesComment

You will need the LARGE nose crank pulleys to put an Aspire engine in anything before late 1992 and 1993. Some late year 1992 Festys had the large nose pulleys, and all 1993 Festys had the large nose pulleys. The Aspire has the ribbed pulleys, and will need to be changed to the large nose "V" pulleys to work on a FestyOriginally posted by old yellow View Post
I am about to install an Aspire engine into my 1992 Festy. I had to locate a set of the V pulleys
