I calculated 120-125 from the rpm's in my BP car. Not sure how fast the BPT car will go, the tires are smaller diameter and this will effect the final speed. The tires on the BPT are 6.8% shorter than the BP car tires. Not sure what the difference is between the festiva and g25mr tranny's final drives.

can't seem to bust 85... even going on a slight downgrade on the freeway w/ it floord for like quarter mile or so. i never tried it b4 i put the cherrybomb on it but i'm thinking @ hwy speeds i've lost too much back pressure to really keep accelarating... need a new air filter that breaths more to make up for it.

A shade over 4000 rpm in fifth gear on 175-60 13's in a 92 Festiva. If my calculations are right that's just over 160 kph (100 mph) and still had more "energy" on tap. Haven't topped it out yet. And that's with a B3 running a slightly modified intake and 2 1/4" exhaust (no cat) from manifold to tip.

One time I was doing about 110 (limiter removed 1 month after I bought it) in my Zx2 on the interstate and an Aspire was keeping right up with me, I cheered him on.

In the 89 festiva 4 speed carb. I once had I used to take long drives and sometimes the road was empty. I would floor it to see how fast it could go. The needle would go past 85 to what seemed to be 90 to 95. It would take a while to get there though. I doubt it wasdoing more than that. It seemed pretty fast though. And seriously. Unless you're on the autobahn in Germany why would you need to go faster than 90?

well on my wedding day, my friend in his nice big chevy truck, with balls to the walls, was cruising next to me hitting his rev limiter at 95 mph, at that point I was going up hill and only in 4th at about 3/4 pedal :-) I would love to find out how fast my BP would go, I wonder if this tranny is going to make it till the end of october :-)

On a side note, since my speedometer only goes to 85 and I had it pegged on the tripometer needle for sometime, plus my tires are 195/50/15's I probably was going a bit faster than 95. My car wasn't even floating with these springs :-)

just plug the #'s in this calculator and figure your speed from the tach.

Im a new Festiva owner. just got the car Sunday. I was curious how accurate the speedo was so I took my gps along for a ride. My speedo was off by 4mph at 76 the speedo reeds 80. More importantly, the gps has a max speed setting..COMPLETELY stock and all original with 311,270 miles I got it to 107 on flat ground on I-65.

I'll have to get out on some lonely straight road some night with my new 140MPH cluster and solve this once and for all
                                No festiva for me ATM...
