    Recored.
Next step, buffing. I have to find my rouge sticks.

This is a very heavy rad. It weighs 9.8 pounds without the cap.

That's quite an improvement on that old radiator already...and I know it's going to look even better soon.

I have decided to postpone the rad reveal until I chrome the fan shroud.

Mark Henry from the Plating House of Canada sent me a picture of the shroud after paint striping, sandblasting and grinding to remove pits that the paint was hiding.

Wait until you see it all chromed up together with the polished brass rad!

          After copper plating and buffing.

          After nickel chroming.

The only thing nicer is buffed and polished 304 stainless.
It is not as blue, has a warm yellowish tone, and will never rust.

The only thing I can figure out is that the base 8005 is for an auto rad.
                    Which one is metal?
                    E8BZ-8005-B
                    E9BZ-8005-A
                    F0BZ-8005-A
                    F1BZ-8005-A

                    KK180-15-200 A costs $171. Yikes!

                      O.K.
I got out my B tank and sweated off all of the rad mounts.
I need to buy a 6" long piece of 1" diameter brass rod and have four mounts lathed.
Stock ones are ugly rusty steel.
I got my Ryobi detail sander back and did a light sanding of the excess solder with 100 grit.

                        Power steering reservoir cleaned up.
                        Next step chroming.

Currently in progress, hand sanding my radiator with fine emery cloth.
Will take a pic when buffing begins.

1990, I have decided to hurt peoples eyes when the hood is opened.
The rad looks better every day. Today we got the first real snow of the winter.
                        Perfect indoor polishing weather.

I had my right hand plenum access cover laser cut on thick polished stainless plate. The other side has the protective film. I can't have an ugly part behind my beautiful chromed power steering reservoir.

                              Thanks.
I had four brass posts lathed. I sweated the steel ones off. I will solder the new ones on tomorrow. Final polishing after I solder on the shroud stand-offs.

The reservoir turned out pretty nice too!
