I contacted the PO and the 8V head that was included with the car was original to the block that is currently in the car. Good sign in case I ever want to go back to the "correct" set-up.
I have several options:
1.) Put the 8V back on the block and take the hp hit. Going this route will require the purchase of the 323 exhaust manifold, intake/tb, vaf and ecu
2.) Keep it how it is. Still need to figure out the tps and running rich issue.
3.) Get a 16V head from an Mx3, along with intake, tb, vaf and ecu.
4.) Get a B6 dohc or BP and start from scratch (last resort money-wise. This is mainly dreaming/wishful thinking)
