Hard to tell from the pic but if the vacuum line is on the throttle body it connects to a sensor on the firewall up by the wiper motor.... Or at least that's how mine is.y engine will stall out if I disconnect a vacuum line or it will run very badly. Can't tell where this wire is that you speak of.

Your gauge reads high again? Rather than timing bucking the starter this sounds like the ground path is not good.

I noticed on a lot of Mazda protégés they corrode the positive wire a lot and give really crazy readings too. Like Movin said though I had a similar problem on my 93 festiva was a rotted ground wire.

That's just it though, its connected to the sensor on the firewall but I've looked everywhere and there's no port on the TB (that it can reach) to plug into.

It should be on top if it is taken by another hose remove it. If the other hose is long enough you could swap them

There's a port I could use on the Tb. I'll buy some vacuum hose that is long enough on lunch.

Update: After some searching on the forum, it looks like the vacuum hoses go to the canister purge solenoid, which shouldn't adversely affect how the car runs. Apparently quite a few members have deleted this feature. I'll still get the hose fixed, but I'll keep searching for issues. I'm going to check the ground for the starter later. And I'll need to figure out what the two wires are that are not connected.

The car started but whenever I give it gas the engine bogs down and back fires. Any ideas?

Made a comment about timing but went back and read your entire post from the beginning.. the back firing is usually a timing related issue though.
Looks like you have tried just about everything I could thing of.

Well this sucks. The radiator just blew out. Luckily we weren't burned.

We think it's the tps causing the idling issues. When we give it just a little gas the idling starts to pulsate.

We did the override and it runs good but whenever we give it full throttle it bogs down. But if we give it a little gas and increase the throttle slowly it can run on higher rpms.

Take the cover off when the throttle is at idle it should be closing one side of the contacts. When at full throttle another set of contacts should be closed. You can adjust it by loosening theounting screws then roatating it and then tightening the screws.

Sounds like my grand Prix when it blew a head gasket.

I sure hope that's not the issue because I just replaced the head gasket a week ago.
