OK thanks. the G trans i bought from the JY didn't include the plate. luckily though i still have a soon-to-be scrapped escort LXE. it has an ATX but according to ford the plates are the same as the MT. i assume i am going to he stuck using the 1.8 oil pan due to it being a longer block? any big issues using that pan with the festiva engine cradle?

Escort LXE? What engine did that come with?Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

i doubt they'll ever be real collectible but an early 90s escort LX-E and equivalent mercury LTS are pretty rare sedans. both had the same 1.8 DOHC as the GT. but with minimal call outs, it blended in with the million other 4 door escort/tracers making it a great sleeper especially with a 5 spd. too bad mine rusted away. very reliable and comfortable.
