Well I got all my gaskets on the front end replaced, and the water pump felt strange so I decided to replace it and look what I found.




Well I believe this is why it was in the jy.
I taped the exhaust ports and cranked it over and 1 2 and 3 poped off the tape 4 did nothing so I'm assuming blowing head gasket.
This is very up setting. Next question how likely is it the head is worped?

Pulled the head and I'm a dummy the tbelt was off so open intake valves that's why no compression but still wanted to check the head and cylinders. Found some rust at the top on cylinder 2 this cylinder had a losses spark plug when I got the engine should have know better.

Is this going to be ok?

After some fine steel wool.
That at the bottom looks like pits but it's smooth I'm not sure what it is

There is going to be some blowby issues. I've recycled a few blocks that looked like that. The intake manifold gaskets leak on them and they rot out cylinders 3 and 4.

I might want the gasket kit. I have a 2nd motor sitting here that could be rebuilt and would be happy to have them! Text me
