I've got a BP car with E series trans and it's boxed like crazy. I'll get pics tomorrow.
The only way I know of to run a BP with stock trans/mounts without major firewall reconstruction is to use the GTX intake manifold. AZGTX usually has one in stock. The G series trans moves the engine about 2" forward, so the intake manifold will clear the firewall.

Yeah, just get a replacement exedy clutch and have the flywheel surfaced. Exedy is the best OE replacement clutch for these cars. If you plan to turbo the b6d, you may want to upgrade to the Suzuki swift gti clutch mod. It requires custom machine work to the flywheel and some grinding on the transmission case. This clutch is bigger and holds the power of the b6t better. The stock exedy clutch will only hold 120 or so ft.lbs of TQ for long periods of time.

If your planning to turbo the b6d, then try to find one from an automatic Capri. The auto is lower compression.
It's pretty easy to turbo a b6d, and there are lots of ways to do it. It's basically the same thing as a b6t, except higher compression. You can run less boost, or get a thick cometic head gasket to lower the compression. You can use a b6t turbo manifold, turbo and downpipe on a b6d. You can also get a plug and play megasquirt controller from Stratified to use with the Festiva wiring. That's a better engine management than the Capri XR2 system. There have been quite a few members on this forum who have run B6t engines on the stock transmission without any problems, but you don't want to launch it hard or spin the tires excessively. Launching and wheel hop will destroy the transmission.
Read this thread for more information on the B6 DOHC engines

          Ouch...

You can only move the crossmember around so much before you start interfering with the sway bar.

Aspire swaybar fixes that issue, as it goes over the crossmember.

              Aspire swaybars ruin handling though

Which is why Charlie and I have been trying to get rid of the sway bar entirely. Take control of each corner individually.

You could make all new trans mounts for the e series and space the engine mount from the block, like we do on the g series. I don't think you could clock it far enough to clear the firewall with the EGT/PLX manifold.

Just make new trans mounts with the welder. Move the engine forward 2“ with the tranny mounts and space the engine mount bracket 2" from the block. Then it'll clear, you'll have better handling and you can keep the Festiva bar. Also, half the work will be done for when you mount the G series trans.

Still think de-coupling the sway bar will be the most elegant solution for full articulation... Something to start for the new year.

Festiva fred has a bp and e no fire wall bashing and I can stick my hand between the intake and firewall. He rotated the engine forward some with the front mount and some with the crossmember and it fits great.
