  • spacing crossmember down

when you guys are spacing your crossmember 3/8" down, are you spacing both front and back? or just one side?

I spaced both front and rear of the cross member down as well as the passenger side mount bracket (because I didn't build any drop in when I modified the bracket). Engine not moved forward in this automatic swap.
    No car too fast !

Yeah mine either. No room to move forward it seems.

Why thank ya. Is there enough threads to use the original bolts? Or are longer substitutes needed?

I dropped the front and back of mine a bit more than an inch with chunks of square tube. There is no question you need longer bolts.

Did you relocate the sway bar?

In a way. I switched to an Aspire sway bar, which has a kink in it to pass over the cross member and back down again.

Up to about 3/8" spacers the stock bolts have worked fine for me. I've done both ends or just one end depending on the engine/mounts.
