            Dickmeyer automotive.
His thread pictures are gone in a lot of his threads but here some off them are

            His business Facebook is here.
It has his shop number & address.
Give him a call he is easy to talk to.

Log into Facebook to start sharing and connecting with your friends, family, and people you know.

He makes cams, custom intake manifolds, does port+ polish, valves etc.

But all his work is custom. No off the shelf parts as you would call them.

Then it will be ridiculously expensive, compared to just installing a SOHC B6 for about the same result. Think $1500 for a properly-done head by a master engine builder like Matt Dickmeyer. Header is separate from this, another $300-350.

I have his B6 head, header, and a cone air filter. Makes the same power as a B6D (DOHC).

              Recommendations:
              1. SOHC B6 (easiest possible swap), plus what rmoltis said about header.
              2. You could go with that K&N filter, but a cheaper (free) and more useful result will come from modding the lower airbox piece---i.e., drilling holes. Airboxes are desigend for low intake noise, not optimized for airflow, so drilling holes in the bottom piece lets the motor breath better at higher RPMs. Just dropping in the K&N is almost useless without freeing up the airbox--which is the actual problem.
              3. Or just go B6D for even more power. Best solution, bang-for-buck, but more complex install. Easy though, for those who are familiar with it. Don't even need to go the aftermarket-header route.

I just got my '89 back together and it runs suprisingly strong for the little bit I did to it. It reset the b3 track record at INDE Motorspor Ranch a couple weeks ago at Insanity, partly due to sticky tires and partly due to the added power.

                Shaved head- roughly .015"
Cleaned up intake ports- not enlarged.
Exhaust port shelf rounded, bowls blended, and guides shortened.
1.6 Escort carb on stock carb intake with Rocketman adapter.
Gutted cat, straight through muffler, stock piping and resonator.

Bryan Kenneth Hartsel on the facebook Festiva group is starting to make stainless tig welded b3 headers. He's shipping one of the first to me today and I'll be posting more on it once it's installed.

I dropped off an extra b3 at my machine shop for him to run on his Cam Doctor to duplicate the profile, and to degree the cam so he can compare it to other grinds he already has. Hopefully he can come up with a profile that's still street friendly but adds enough power that it's worth swapping cams. I'm not interested in a cam that only makes more power up top. We'll need 10-15 cores to do a batch if he comes up with a good profile. If we end up doing a batch we'll also make adapter rings to use commonly available Miata adjustable timing gears on the b3 cam.

Here's a vid of mine running 0-90 mph.

You're better off doing a B6d swap. I found a Capri for $200 to get my engine from, less than I have in redoing my 1.3. Use the festiva trans and you only have to make or modify the engine mount. Charlie (Advancedynamix on here) has been running B6d's with stock b3 injection. I couldn't keep up with the b6d swapped cars at INDE, they were running about 10 mph faster at the end of the 2,200ft straight.

You can run the B6D on the b3 harness and computer. Mine has the Capri harness and ecu but it was installed before we found out it would work on the b3 stuff. It’s quick too. 107 hp I believe.

Mild thread jack but I'd be interested in a b3 cam that could make more power from 3k to 7k (track car don't care about down low). Might have a core or 2 laying around also. I've got a flyin miata cam gear here just need a adapter ring to put it on.

I needed a quick engine replacement and found a yard here in Albuquerque that was going out of business. All engines were $250. I found a B6ME (single cam, 16 valve out of a '95 Kia) It was pretty much a plug and play. The stock B6ME exhaust manifold will connect to the Festiva down pipe with a little work (welding) I am running off the stock B3 ECU. It will require the Kia B6ME distributor. You can fit the Kia wide belt alternator pulley to the B3 alternator but I eventually found the correct Kia alternator to eliminate belt issues. I got lucky on the engine. I noticed it was externally very clean at the yard and when I got it home noticed it had what I believe is millage of 53,XXX written on it. Drives like a good B3 until you get on it. I imagine I picked up at least 25 horsepower. A little bit of informal street racing with a friend shows me it will run close to his old 280ZX up to about 90. Close meaning I couldn't catch him but he was barely pulling me. Then a while later we had a rematch. This time he was driving a Mitsubishi Gallant 2002? single cam V6 automatic. Very close match although he did outrun me. Last run, he was driving the '99 Avalon V6 automatic. Again he out runs me although not by much. We run down (actually up) a freeway ramp that gets you on I-25 southbound. I-25 at this point has a speed limit of 75. Most traffic running at least 80. No one (except the cops) looks twice if you are running 90. The Festiva with a B6ME may not be a race car but I would not imagine you could get anywhere close to the performance of a B6ME with a B3. Not to mention while you may be able to 90 horsepower out of a B3 pretty easily it will come at much higher revs. My car with the B8ME takes the longest grades easily in 5th gear while maintaining speed or even picking up speed. The same grades with the stock B3 would require 4th gear.
