    Hi Grizzly

Having now completed my swap and using my Festy as a daily to work I thought I would share my experience with you. I sourced my engine from a 1993 Second Gen Ford Escort (also known as 3rd gen Ford Laser KH in Australia). Everything bolted on and the engine bolted in the car really easy. I'm mostly a novice and I did all the work in my shed by myself in a couple of days with a few hand tools and a 18V rattle gun. The only real problem I had was there was no fuel pump supplied and one of the pipes at the top of the escort carby was hard against the firewall. The B3 fuel pump bolted straight on and after some testing was more than adequate. The B3 Carby also bolted straight up to the Escort intake manifold but did require some rethinking of vacuum lines but like I said, a novice like myself still managed to get this sorted by using the old B3 setup as a guide. I've setup my timing to 6 deg advance with all lines disconected as a start, could probably go more with 98 fuel. I have to say I'm really impressed with the power, it's a very quick little car now, a shit-tonne quicker than I had imagined. I have to say thank you to all the gear heads on this forum that give up their time to post on hear and help noobs like myself get it done . The only thing left for me to do is connect my water choke somewhere to drop the idle and then a tyno tune. I guess I'm just sharing to encourage you to just do it! You won't regret it

I would be willing to bet that a KB laser engine would probably also bolt right in.
At the moment, I am running twin KB carbies on a B6 engine from a Mazda 323.
