      $1600!

I've heard you can also use the HLSD out of a Mazdaspeed Prot, but you have to have hybrid axles made. Still probably cheaper than $1600 if you can find a junkyard MSP.

Actually now that I read the description on Corksport, I think that is the same diff as the MSP. For $1600 the Corksport isn't even a drop-in. Double

I think there is also a Phantom Grip for the G25MR, but I've heard horror stories. Then again, around here a G25MR is $40 at pull-a-part and they usually have a couple to pick from. Might be worth trying a Phantom Grip just to see how bad it really is.

i dunno if it was just my car but for some reason quite often when i do lay down some rubber i very often leave dual black tracks...

who knows! i too have heard the phantom grip horror stories. i believe fred (aka B6T on here) has or had one in either a stock festy tranny or in a g25mr and wasnt impressed with it... send him a msg for some info on that one as i know he had one for sure.

If you find enough guys, you could get a LSD made for a good price like under a 1000 bucks.

              Thanks

Clutch or Helical? How many people? Where?

There might be some Protege guys that would jump for that too.

I know this is a little extreme for most peoples applications and needs but I am gonna be welding the center differential in place of an lsd, my car will be race only though no daily driving.

You have to put the welder on reverse polarity since you're welding on the other end of the car....

Yeah it will actually be my first one, my good friends josh and corry that did my turbo manifold for me are going to be welding it up for me and sense its sorta a lost art and not alot of people know what it does or why one does it I am gonna let them do the work and I will do a nice write up with plenty of pics.

I have a Phantom Grip in my car. The irony is that they really named it accordingly, because the grip really isn't there, but you think it is because you've installed some POS in your differential. Granted, I have the weaker springs in it, which are known to be worthless. I have the upgraded spring kit, which I'm going to install next time I have the transmission out.
