I think I'm going to try a Phantom Grip when I install my G25MR. I mean what's the worse that can happen? I blow up a $50 transmission or it just doesn't work. :dunno

In a few years I'll start looking for MSPs at the junkyard and adapt that one...

Well I've heard that if you remove the phantom grip out of a diff it never works the same. I would use the complete diff.

I have been using PG's for years and have successfully replaced the springs, once you pull the lock plates off after installation, make sure you don't lose them like I did. PG sent me new ones for a fee.

The PG seems to work in slippery conditions.I did not think the thing worked at all until I put the stiffer springs in, then it almost felt like a welded diff. So ,went back to the stock ones for Ice racing...

                Which springs?

Hey Champ 98, Well do you feel there is a difference with the lsd on the ice or not? I'm only interested in the ice performance (not pavement). I was thinking about one for my car that I also Ice race here in Michigan (M.I.R.A.). I took a third place this season in fwd rubber to ice. The first place guy, a neon, hakka Q's, and some kind of an lsd, kept out pulling me. I was running a 90 festiva with a fuel injected b6, 5 speed, and 13" blizzaks. I just got a fresh 97 aspire that the b6 is going into for the 2008 season. I've also made up a turbo setup with a methanol injection system that I hope will give me a little more everything. Also did you put that lsd in yourself? If so, was it difficult?
Although the festiva served me well, it's just rusting out from under me!
p.s. I tried out some new hakka rsi's, but thought they were not as sticky as the blizzaks on the bare ice! We don't "Tractionize" our tire's here. Do you think that helps new Blizzaks or Hakka's?

Wow $300 a bit pricey. We need write obx and talk them into making a diff.

                      Merge....NO
I'm on the FEOA/escort, 323, club protege, miata, mazda forums, probe/mx6 & a couple non-mazda forums. Yes the info is sometimes spread out, but if you know where to look you typically can find it. Each has their purpose. The protege, miata, & FEOA I reference engine data mainly. The probe, 323, & FEOA are for trans info's. All the above I look at for interior & exterior info.
