    Meet

Id love to go in fact I would have gone last year, unfortunately I have a dark past ( criminal record) that may prohibit me from crossing the border. I was denied acess about 5 years ago ( going the the detroit autoshow ) They told me to try again in 4 years, Im just going to wait and get a passport then try.

I am going to try and have my car ready for windsor weekend in grand bend in aug/sept.

        That's awesome Krusty.
Festy46- my apologies! You are correct. Oval port heads are not on the early (carb) version. I only calculated from externally cause the rocker cover and block dimensions are so similar between both my cars. (8v, 1.6 carb and 16v, 1.5 efi)

There are no carbed BP/B8-ME cars in north america,,,, I wasnt even aware of a carbed BP other than custom ITB's... Im thinking of building one though but id need a cam than,,, Im too cheap for cams. but it woud sound awsome.

The intake from an '81 to '85 Escort 1.6L has perfect runner spacing to feed a B8-ME. Cut the complete Escort flange off and weld a new plate on, drill mounting holes, and port match the new flange to the B8 head. The best part is that the intake accepts a stock Ford 2 barrel or a Weber. Been there, done that. I just wondered if the factory ever made a carbed version.
            You gonna race that thing?

Next time i pass therough the wreckers, i'll take a shot of the carb 1.8, then a shot of the efi 1.5.

Krusty could you possibly send me a copy of those wiring diagrams for the 92 protege? I am doing the same swap, but into a 95 aspire, as soon as I get a motor swap done in my sister's neon that is...
