so I'm currently getting ready to install my rebuilt b6 engine and I was just doing the last of the fab work. I noticed if you use the b6 downpipe it's too long and pushes the exhaust back alot, I figured you could either shorten the pipe or the cat,......and since I was "modifing" my cat for optimum fuel milage, I ended up with this.......
the cat has been cut, 4" section removed, and re-welded back together again.............with a little more flow on the inside 8)

just looks like a regular cat eh?
