has anyone ever looked at putting universal fender flares on so you can bigger and fatter wheels on, there are some on ebay for sale for a decent price, i would love to put those on with some 16 x 7's and lower it to

Can you say Bushwackers? He He just kidding.

I have thought about them as well. My plan was to possibly strip the chrome off (with a grinder of course) then prep and paint to match the car. I just like the look of a slight flare.

i am going to be attempting some sort of flare on my car to give it some more clearance. I haven't decided what I am going to use or how I am going to do it yet but it will be done... Well it needs to be done before next spring when I pull her out of the garage again.

Why don't you try some Mk2 Golf GTI fender flares? They should be easy to find...

I've been looking at Miata flares, cheapest so far. I know that the Festiva doesn't have round fenders (obviously) but it's a start.

          Thoughts?
Why no, officer. I don't know how fast I was going. My speedometer only goes up to 85...

I have the feeling that those Miata flares might require a lot of fiberglassing to fit the flat fenders of a Festiva, since they're molded to follow the Miata's curvacious fenders. I still think MkII Golf GTI flares would fit better:

Plus, you could link those flares together by using that lower valence/side skirt, after you've trimmed it for lenght of course.

            My 2 cents

They are in the junk yards all the time. You can try some off a corolla te27 or unversal fiberglass ones, they would be your best bet because they are not abs plastic.

Those wheel openings look a little big for the festiva don't they?

I'm due to update him again. It's painted. He's waiting for help to get it to shift. He's done it all himself and he's 71 (about).
