Thanks for the compliments everyone, glad yinz guys think it's cool
To answer what kind of paint, just some ordinary spray paint, nothing made for plastic. I just roughed up the to-be-painted areas with VERY fine wet sandpaper, used a very light coat of primer (white color primer) and painted it. It has been a while since I did it, and it shows no signs of fading or cracking, etc
For the gauge surround, I carefully masked it off and used a razor blade to trim it so it looks neat.
btw, for the tach, to get the white face with black numbers, I took the face to a copy center, and they made a negative copy. thats all it is.
And the blue things in the console are just felt inserts cut to fit, so things don't rattle around in there. Did the same for the glovebox
I will post a pic tomorrow of the tach at night, it has a nice blue-ish glow to it!

It's painted like a min-cooper; blue body with white top and white aftermarket mirrors, and white wheels (still 12"). There is a picture somewhere on here...look for a post about painting bumpers; i think there's a pic. When it was new in '88, it was white with a red hockey stick.

You can use pretty much any paint I guess, but again, I've never used any special paint made just for plastic. My bumpers and grille, etc, and the dash pieces were all painted using just ordinary automotive spray paint.
Just remember a few light coats of paint are better than one heavy one.
and be sure there is no grease etc on whatever you're painting.
My bumbers still look good, with no cracking or peeling.

well, see, I'm the reverse. I can do body work and minor mods, etc,,
but when it comes to diagnosing a problem, I'm pretty useless unless it's pretty obvious what's wrong! Once I know what it is, I can probably fix it, but it's figuring out what's wrong that i suck at.
