i cant belive i left this sitting this way... shame on me lol. anyways, i took some pics for you guys.

this is the motor in the drivers door:

i dont have a pic of the pass side but it is mounted the exact sme way...

the one in the trunk was the hardest to make work, space is tite and the wire was a... you know what to run. so i took a short cut and put it under the c piller cover... i know its kind of lame, but what ever lol.

this is the only wire you can see when the hatch is open:

this is how the motor is mounted in the hatch:

and the controll box sits in the front drivers side foot well but i didnt take a pic of it cause my wiring is awful... dont worry its safe but just looks bad. it will have a wire tuck when i do my motor swap

      thats about it. thanks.
      mike.

Nice...I think I'll have to do that on Raltiva! I did power windows on mine and am happy with how that went. I'd imagine this is easier.

Do you have power lock switches in the car? If so, where did you mount them?
And pics of those if you do have them please!

no i only have a botton on the remote to open them and close them and if you pull up or push down on the drivers door lock then it will unlock/ lock all of them.

                    interesting information

I will install my power door locks in about a month. I am still waiting for my machinist to finish putting a quarter radius on the aluminum plates which will take the place of the door pulls. I will then have to anodize them. Or, should I paint them to match the panel color?

                      viper system

I delayed installing my pwer locks until I bought a Viper remote system off of the Bay. First test, to ensure the locks go up and down from both switches.

Next step enlarge the wiring diagrams to 11 X 14 on my Laserjet 8150DN.

I bought three packs of connector spades to do a professional hookup with factory connector shells.

Now if I can only get up enough courage to cut through the middle of a fully functioning power lock harness!
I have to just keep telling myself that I absolutely need to have a remote control. Nobody should enter a car at night, without the dome light coming on first with the push of a button.

Everthing must be fully tested before I install it under the dash. I will not break my back again. More to follow in this progression thread.

Nice - I plan on something similar- I bought the ford dealer power-lock install kit from FMS but it doesnt have the key fobs - I plan on buying the alarm kit to give me the fobs and an alarm - plus I need to buy ney switches - I dont like the ones that come in the kit. I'm going after-market on these

                            Ford kit

I am not going to change the switches. Too much trouble. However, I am going to change the Viper alarm LED with one from another import (maybe a Toyota?) The LED is just to the right of the "Y".

The Viper kit has two fobs. I only included one in my picture. I still have to figure out where I want to mount the valet switch and where to mount the control unit.

Thats the same door kit I have - I just cant bring myself to install those hidious switches lol The Hoffman group has a good selection of aftermarket products - they are geared towards custom rods but alot of their stuff will work - the nice thing is they sell door popper kits for heavier doors as well. http://www.thehoffmangroup.com/autoloc/
Just click the picture to the many product lines that they offer to see what they have.
Heres one that is pretty interesting http://www.thehoffmangroup.com/autol...inc=ultratouch

Does the control unit need to be visible? I have some possibilities for you PM me to discuss them
