remember one thing though, if the tail finishers are 4-5 layers thick it'll weigh more which then the shock may start to not support the weight of the hatch when open

        just my 2 cents

        1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

^^^ agreed. They need to be thin to limit weight.

carbon fiber hoods are 5-7 layers thick....were talking about a piece 4 foot long by 16 inches thick. It wouldn't matter if it was 3 layers or 7...the hatch strut would still support it.

Without further ado the fitment picture:

First off we have the threaded stud that makes no contact anywhere on the panel but comes so inconviently close the the hatch handle you can't open your back hatch once installed.

3 layers?? Maybe on the contours...

            Fitment of driverside above taillight

The clip attaching the drivers side top of the ribbed TF...that's not gonna catch highway winds or anything...

These next pictures are of the bow in the middle of the TF bottom center and the bottom overlap that probably broke david88 TF....notice that it is perfectly alligned in the bottom right corner...

And the gap on the top...I tried to put my hand under it so you could she my hand through the crack...but wouldn't show up.

My solution to fix all these problem is to put vasoline on my hatch nad make a backing plate contouring around where the lights go. I'm going to put holes to mount it in factory holes and use doublesided 3m tape all the way around sort of like the FMS rear upper spoilers.

I had the same fitment issues with mine. I pulled those thing little tabs off and took the bolt out of the center too...

When I install it (or if at this point), it'll be molded in place.

At the risk of causing a Monsoon I too would like to see some detailed intalled photos... particularly of those that have been molded in.

                  Thanks

Thanks for the phots. Does the black piece that covers the handle holds the license plate lights have to be removed or does the finisher fit over top?
