I get that all the time. I only drive festivas so Im not sure if its related to the car or not, but I love the huge horn idea ! I might have to add that to the upgrade list.
Just an after thought but my 90 L plus has a totally different sounding stock horn than any of my other festys.sigpic

I try not to hit my brakes when a careless person cuts infront of me. I dont know them and im sure they didnt see me so I know its nothing personal. our festivas are small and I use that to my advantage, when someone cuts infront I pass in the first available spot whether its the emergency lane, the wrong side of the road, ridn the line in between cars... that one gets harry tho. Know how to drive my car and what it can and cant do.
The other nite I was doing that for a few miles after I left city limits. I was cruising at 85 in #1 lane and I noticed headlights come ripping around traffic in the emergency lane, as the vehicle got closer I recognized the 'ford cop headlights' and push bar, he never turned his lights on tho. He got right on my ass and I held my hands up and laughed as I said out loud 'okay, you got me', then I moved over to the #2 lane and he came up on the side of me and lit up my festy with his light bar and then sped off!
it was a cop from the city I just drove out of, typically they wont pull you over on the highway unless you did something bad. I DO NOT endorse speeding, I DO recommend learning how to drive defensively and in emergency situations, push your car and get a feel what it can do and where the line of losing control is, then learn to recover after losing control...1990 Festiva LComment

My Festy had an old horn screwed to the fire wall near the washer reservoir when I bought it. Someone had already pulled a wire from the old horn location. I picked up a red aauugah horn from Harbor Freight for $10 that is so loud my teenage boys find it offensive. I will try to get a picture if anyone wants to see. It lays just under the hood and mostly out of the way.88 Festiva 5 speed
