If youre going to put the fake scoop on it, you might as well go all out and put these on too.

    And this.

    And finally something like these.

go to the junk yard then and get a new hood, paint it black and cut a hole in it right over top of the air filter ricer style. you have inspired me to get a hood scoop!

Really, it doesn't matter what any of us think. If you like the way it looks, do it, you will still be getting WAY better gas mileage than everyone around you.

i will vote against the scoop, but refrain from more flaming, sorry man, but there is no need for a scoop on a festiva, if it looks cool to you on there, at least go the distance and cut a hole and duct it so its sending air over the engine, that is fi right? if not, you might be able to duct it to the carb, but i doubt itll improve anything. really think about the target youre painting putting that on the hood of a car with 70hp. if you can take the inevitable fire it brings, go for it, but i strongly recommend refraining from using it. case in point being my friends cavalier, he put a discreet wing on it, purely because he liked the look, and ended up selling it because it did actually produce downforce that very quickly buckled the trunk lid and broke the latch, the car also got vandalized on several occasions. if youre still going for it, cut the hood, put it on hole towards the windshield and duct the radiator to it, then make a pan to fill the void in the front bumper, ensure it goes flush as possible with the motor, then youll have better mpg to more than justify it.
is not sposed ta do that...

Now I'm no csi, but that is not a likely explanation.

I'm turning a Festiva into a "green machine." I'll install fake solar cells all over it and then put one of these on:

Harbor Freight buys their top quality tools from the same factories that supply our competitors. We cut out the middleman and pass the savings to you!

The green chicks will really dig it.

Not to mention the grass roof the windmill will be sitting on. Real worms, too.

My car will offset 92.3 carbon footprints, roughly the size of five brontosauri.

On my hood will be a stylized profile of Ralph Nader hugging a tree, plus I'll have organic red vine candy hanging out my tailpipe.
