                instead of start a new thread, i'll add to this.
                I got a 9 LED strip that runs off of 12V. Now, as I have had my cluster out before, the stock lights (4 small bulbs) have 2 wires that are connected to the top of the guage cluster in the back with philips screws.
                my question is, can i disconnect the 2 wires philips screws and remove my stock wires and bulb combo, and put my 12V LED's into that same 2 wire lead? or do i need to splice from a different location? i hope this makes sense.

                    as a follow up, at the top of the back of the instrument cluster, the 2 blub screws are "+ ILL" and "- ILL".. pretty straight forward.. i got my green LED strip installed this weekend, but i glued it too low as i can see the LED's when driving... i'll try to take some pics of when i 'redo' it to raise the strip up...
