Has anyone had time to research if there are any other clusters that just plug in or is it a type specific instrument cluster. I am one of those non-electrical persons, if it does not plug right up, I can't mess with it.

no, at least not for any of the rx7 clusters... im still working on getting the festy clips wired up for the rx7 cluster in my car... i dont know how much rewiring was required with freds 323gt cluster but i think it requires alot of rewiring too...

got around to working more on the rewiring of the clips for the rx7 cluster...

thankfully they share an identical clip as the festiva! unfortunately all of the wires are in the wrong places!

does anyone know how to pull the pins out of the clips without breaking them so i can put them into the correct place to coincide with the rx7 cluster? now that i have all my festiva wires labeled i can take my extra labeled harness outside and pull the pins out of my car and stick them into the right places for the rx7 cluster, but i cant get the pins out of the clips!!!

any ideas? ill post up a full writeup and swap guide on this as soon as i get the clips rewired and set out for a comparison pic of what wires get swapped to which slots!

^^yeah they come out pretty easy with a small flat screwdriver from the side that plugs in.. push the little plastic clips down while pulling on the wire.. I have big hands, so it was kind of a pain holding the plug while using a screwdriver to push the clips down and pull the wire at the same time..

Moving the wires is easy if you have a how to and can follow directions..

I also will be creating a Cluster how-to but it will be for the UK 100mph Festiva cluster.. and the speedo IS correct.. had it checked out today with a buddies new truck and radios..
