  • Some recent work on the Tin Can

I installed the washer hose through the wiper spring and installed a washer nossle off a pete, had to seal the end of it to keep it from shooting streams over the car though

I also did some painting - everything sealed with a Matte sealer

Installed the euro lights and test fitted the spoiler before it gets painted, I forgot to take the picture of them but you can barely see the power mirrors.

I'll be starting to install the A/C soon - I've already test fitted the condenser

unfortunately it was something I did before I Joined the site and just never finished so I hadn't thought of taking pictures of the process but I can walk you through it. I'll take some pictures of the new hose routing once i get the wipers hooked back up.
Its really pretty simple track down a older pete that has sprayers on the wipers, cut off as much of the hose as you can (you will need this later) and unclip the sprayers. Take some black rtv and fill the hole on the very end (you still want the one pointing toward the window open) clip the sprayer on you wiper, run the hose down the back side of the wiper and through the spring (you may want to use a small screw driver to help you) you need to remove the hose from the center of your hood, purchase a T fitting for air hoses that fits the stock washer lines (I cant remember what size it was but you can just take a peice of hose with to the store) you need to run the new line through the cowl and up next to the wiper transmission ( the pictures will better show this) if you got enough hose off the pete you dont need to buy any more hose

Very nice car you have there! I like the red spoiler on the blue car! Even if it is only on there for test fitting

Blue and orange are direct complementary colors. Red and green are complements of each other. Check if orange pinstriping will work out on your blue Festiva. Do you have factory tinted glass in it?

Funny you should mention the GM sprayers. I just tried them to see if they would work and it turns out that there isn't enough room between the wiper arm and the blade itself. There probably is a way to do it but I think it would require modified the sprayer.

              Nice spoler by the way...

i've seen at Candian Tire they have a conversion kit to have the sprayers on the wiper arms

No promises but I'm hoping to get it on the road for Ohiostiva

ok I said I would take pictures of the routing so here they are:

You'll want to trim the lines to fit with the wipers in the up position since thats where they will use the most hose

Here is where they T - you'll have to trim a little of the hood seal to make the hose fit

Left side routing - I forgot to mention I had to use a butt joint connector to lengthen the hose for the left side, using the exccess hose from the hood

                    Right side routing
I haven't had any problems with rubbing or wear on the hoses and they have been installed for 3 years now

Did you paint the mirrors too? Or are you running them the way they were?

I like the look of the mirrors matching the color of ther car. My friend has red mirrors on one of his and it looks good.
