The green and yellow badge he has on the steering wheel indicates a first year driver in Japan. They call it (Wakaba) in Japan.
A red and yellow on indicates an elderly (over 75) driver, known as (Koleshiya)
These are used in everyday driving in Japan, not real sure on the story as to how they ended up associated with street racing.

my wheel is a deep set drifting wheel I like it a lot I want to change the color stripe to blue though
the button came with the wheel but did not work with the new hub so I disasembled the one that came with the hub to install the JDM insert
