BUT SERIOUSLY it wont make the car blow up - unless you have a serious leak and your heat gun is set too high. I used to remove decals at the dealership from trucks and never had any problems.
If using an eraser wheel (which is the quickest way for baked on decals that wont peal off) make sure to use it at a lower speed and dont hold in in one place for too long otherwise you will burn the paint.

From my experience, I feel the eraser wheel will take too long for a large decal like yours; it's better for pinstripes and dealer logos, littlle stuff. Probably more useful would be either the heat gun method, or WD-40 & a plastic scraper.90 Festy (Larry)--B6M (Matt D. modified B6 head), header, 5-speed, Capri XR2 front brakes, many other little mods

so let me see here....if the cars painted in enamel and you use enamel reducer all over it, does that mean the car shrinks since you used reducer ?....course, it also makes the decals smaller and less time to remove....:-)1992 festy GL, loaded, stock, 79 K

Ha ha, that'd be funny. Start out with a daily driver, and end up with a Matchbox car.

^^ She's had the old ones off and the new ones on for a couple of weeks now. I kind of like the Sun Festiva ones, but up close, they were pretty chipped up.

^^ She waited til Mom wasn't around, and used the heat gun. The gas fire was fairly small, and easily put out.
Kidding, but she did end up using the heat gun.
