So you're using the Capri gauges? What mods are needed to make them work? And how about any mods to the climate control system?

Hey, come to think of it, Casper doesn't have the heater assembly in the car (since he was a race car). Maybe I should look at dash mods while I'm sticking the heater stuff back in...hmmmm....

Tom what you need to do is obtain an aspire heater box and see if they match up - that would give dash heat - If I remember right when I had my aspire's out they are very similar but I was cold cause the core went out in the middle of January so I didnt stop to take pics and measurements.

I would expect that the Aspire would not fit, because it will either be the same as the Festy's, or was designed the same way--i.e. with the assumption of a flat firewall. This is Casper I'm talking about--BP motor, so the firewall was modified to fit the motor in.

But you are saying that Aspires have dash heat?! What a revolutionary idea! Might get an Aspire heater box just to tinler with anyway. Since I have to mod the Festy box, why not the Aspire's.

Im cutting the top to fit stock festiva defrost. Im using custom ductic for the climate control vents,im goin to adapt the controls for the capri to match the flaps on the festiva heater box. Yes i am using the capri cluster... Actually its the whole reason for the dash swap.... The capri cluster is quite a bit wider than the festivas so i figured the whole dash may be easier than ripping out the whole cluster section of my car and building a whole new one... And i like the lines of the capri dash better... Its less than a half an inch wider than the festy dash... Did i answer all the ?'s

                          EDIT:
I WANT TO RUN THE CAPRI DASH CAUSE IM RUNNING A CAPRI MOTOR AND WANT TO HAVE ACCURATE GUAGES FOR OIL PRESSURE/140MPH SPEEDO. IM RUNNING THE RX7 SPEEDO AND IT SEEMS TO BE OFF BY 8-10mph AT 60ISH AND IT LOOKS KINDA CRAPPY TO HAVE A 140 GUAGE OVER THE TOP OF A STOCK GUAGE... AND I WANT IT TO LOOK STOCK.
