A rising sun would have been closer!! LOL Looks great. Try a little TR-3 resin on the hood. NAPA sells it.

I think the Koreans would be HIGHLY offended at a rising sun on their car! :-) The Japanese whupped up on pretty much everybody in the area, back in the 30s and 40s.

Or clay bar.. I think its made by meguiars i dont know how bad the clear coat is but the clay bar will get it off. It sold in a kit that has the cleaner and the wax

im amazed at the job you did, it looks very professional. ive always loved the brit flags on the old mini's. id wondered how it would look on the festiva, and it does look great. a how to on making your own flag would make a great sticky on any forum. well done, mate!
